The Good Old TV Ads :)

Was going through a few you tube videos and landed upon one of 'those' ads. That lead to me watch some more of it and some more of it.

Quickly thought of compiling a few that I like.

So, here it goes: 

1. The times when mobile phones were a style statement and probably not a necessity. Thought the idea was quite ahead of its times. Ericsson Mobile Phones.

 

2. I am sure for a lot of us 'Cadbury' still is a synonym for chocolate. This probably is still remembered for its jingle. The now famous bollywood musical trio, Shankar-Eshaan-Loy had composed it. Created by  Piyush Pandey from O&M. 

 3. I don't know if there has been a substitute for Fevicol. Again, O&M at work and the person in the commercial is of course Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the Munnabhai series and 3 Idiots. 

4. Another one that caught the attention because of the jingle. Every household in those days looked at buying one and had the complete family riding on it.The ride for 'Bajaj Scooter' ended in December 2009, the company announced that it would stop manufacturing scooters and would only concrete on the motor cycle segment.This was once was created by Lowe.

5. I sometimes still call 'Jalebi' the way the kids does in this commercial. 'Dhara' commercial created by Mudra is still the most recalled one from those times. 

 

6. 'Dhoodh' never sounded so much fun as in this commercial. The jingle is sung by the famous bollywood playback singer Kunal Ganjawala 

 

7.  Everyone once had to be a 'Complan' boy or a girl. Well, even Shahid kapoor and Ayesha Takia as well :)

8.  'Yeh Dil Maangae More' was probably one of the best lines that worked for a brand. Seen here are SRK, Kajol, Rani and Shahid. 

9. This one ran during the '99 world cup. The Sachin-SRK jodi for Pepsi. Here, the positioning still continues to be 'Yeh Dil Maanage More'  

A lot more apart from these, a few that I appeared to be top of my mind.
